Hi! My name is Dimitri, and I am a Gilman Scholar studying abroad in Sydney, Australia! My experience in Australia has been an adventure filled with interesting classes, amazing new friends, delicious food, lazy days on the beach, and exciting excursions in the Aussie landscape. But, what does a typical day in my life look like? Well, a typical day in the life of a student in Australia is just as exciting! Throughout the day, I take amazing classes taught by distinguished Australian professors in a range of fields. I start the day off exercising at my dorm gym, head to the farmers market next door to pick up fresh fruit and veggies for breakfast, pack my bag and walk to the campus of NYU Sydney.
I take classes such as Foundations of Finance taught by an inspiring professional, Global Media with an intelligent journalist, and Creative Writing with an awesome writer! In between the days are filled with lunch dates with friends and even nice walks around Sydney Harbor where I have a view of the Opera House!
